Schulenburg Police Report
Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek reports on the following incidents his department responded to June 21-26.
Animal Complaint
June 22- Officer James Whited responded to the 100 block of Paulus regarding a missing dog.
June 22- Officer Juan Castilleja responded to the 800 block of Paulus for a loose dog.
June 26- Police department was notified regarding a pot belly pig in the middle of the street in the 600 block of West Avenue.
Burglary
June 26- Officer Byron Powe responded to the 300 block of Kallus for a break into a garage.
Criminal Trespass
June 23- Whited responded to the 1100 block of N. Bohlmann for criminal trespass.
June 23- Whited responded to the 1100 block of James Avenue for criminal trespass.
Civil Matter
June 22- Whited was dispatched to the 1000 block of Black for a civil matter involving property.
June 25- Officer Hailee Ellis responded to the 1200 block of South Street for a civil matter.
Disturbance
June 21- Castilleja was dispatched to the Dollar General in the 89 block of Kessler for a disturbance.
June 25- Powe was dispatched to the 25 block of N. Kessler where subject claimed someone displayed a firearm during an argument.
June 25- Ellis was dispatched to the 400 block of St. John Road for a disturbance.
Injury to Child /Elderly/ Disabled
June 25- Powe was dispatched to the 1200 block of Kallus for report of an assault. One subject was arrested.
Nuisance
June 25- Animal Control Officer Gina Harden was dispatched to the 900 block of West for a nuisance call.
Reckless Driver
June 24- Ellis was dispatched to the 600 block of E. I-10 for a reckless driver. Dispatch advised they had received four calls about a driver that failed to maintain a single lane. River located they had run into median, causing damage to guardrail.
Suspicious Person/Vehicle
June 24- Ellis responded to the 1100 lock of Bohlmann for a suspicious person.
June 26- Powe responded to the 1000 block of Black Street for an 18 wheeler with driver slumped over the wheel. The truck was legally parked and not running and the keys were not in the ignition.
Subject appeared to be intoxicated. A sober party arrived to take custody of an intoxicated subject.
Traffic Stop
June 22- Whited stopped a driver for speeding in the 82 block of Kessler. Driver received a warning.
June 24- Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of W. I-10 for expired registration (5-26) Received a waring for registration and a citation for no insurance.
Terroristic Threat
June 25- Powe responded to the 600 block of Black Street for a terroristic threat.
Welfare Check
June 22- Whited responded to the 1200 block of Pierce for a welfare concern.
