Schulenburg Police Report

Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek Reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of April 20-26.

Animal Complaint

On April 24, Officer Byron Powe responded to the 1200 block of Eilers for a loose white dog in the cemetary. Dog was located and animal control contacted.

On April 26, Officer Juan Castilleja was waved down by a driver on Summit Street who advised of loose goats on Highway 90 and I-10.

Civil Matter

On April 24, Powe was dispatched to the 200 block of Matula regarding a civil matter concerning visitation rights.

Disturbance

On April 20, Powe was dispatched to the 900 block of Baumgarten for an open 911 call with two people shouting in the background. Officer arrived and spoke with the residents, and all was fine and no disturbance.

On April 25, Powe was dispatched to the 100 block of Huser for a love triangle dispute leading to possible assault. Disorderly Conduct

On April 23, Officer MD Krenek was advised by a teacher that a student drives by her classroom during lunch and blasts his base on his vehicle radio, causing a disruption to her classroom. Teacher advised it is loud enough to rattle the windows in her classroom.

On April 24, Krenek was made aware of a student that had showed his nude buttocks “mooned” other classmates in the room. Student was sent to the office and school is handling. Nuisance

On April 21, Officer Reyden Svatek was dispatched to the 700 block of Wolf Street where property owner were tending to their rental property and found a backpack with papers stating the squatters were staying there.

Suspicious Person

On April 22, Svatek was dispatched to the 700 block of N. Kessler for a suspicious person.

On April 23, Sgt. Tobey McFadden was dispatched to the 800 block of N. Main for a person living in a storage building.

On April 25, Officer Hailee Vincent responded to the 500 block of Upton regarding a girl sitting under a tree. Girl advised she doesn’t have class until later.

Traffic Stop

On April 22, Castilleja stopped a driver for speeding in the 100 block of Kessler. Driver received a warning.

On April 23, Krenek stopped a driver for speeding in a school zone and a citation was issued.

OnApril 24, Powe stopped a driver in the 300 block of Bucek for failure to stop at a stop sign.
