Schulenburg Police Report
Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of March 30-April 5.
Traffic Stop
On April 1, Officer Byron Powe stopped a driver for no front license plate in the 100 block of N. Kessler. A warning was issued.
On April 3, Officer MD Krenek stopped a vehicle in the 500 block of N. Kessler for speeding in a school zone. Driver received a citation.
On April 4, Powe stopped a driver in the 300 block of Summit for a defective headlight. Driver received a warning for headlight and a citation for no driver’s license.
On April 4, Powe stopped a driver for speeding in the 100 block of N. Kessler going 47 in a 35. Driver received a citation.
On April 4, Powe stopped a driver for an expired registration (4-24) driver received a warning for expired registration and no driver’s license.
On April 5, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of Kessler for an expired registration (3-20) Driver received a warning.
On April 5, Powe stopped a driver in the 14 Block of Kessler for a defective left taillight. Driver received a warning.
On April 5, Powe stopped a driver for expired reregistration in the 600 block of E. I-10 for an expired registration (225) Driver received a warning for expired registration and a citation for no driver’s license.
On April 5, Powe stopped a driver for an obscured temp plate in the 600 block of W. I-10. Driver received a warning for obscured plate and a citation for driving while license suspended.
Animal Complaint
On April 1, Animal Control Officer Gina Harden responded to the 1200 block of South Street to pick up a dog walking in the middle of the road.
Civil Matter
On March 31, Whited responded to the 300 block of August for a civil matter.
On April 4, Officer Byron Powe Responded to the 200 block of Matula for a civil matter regarding a court order.
Missing Person
OnApril 5, Sgt. Tobey Mc-Fadden responded to the 1400 block of Oakland for a missing 13-year-old who ran away from home. Officer Powe was able to locate the juvenile and get them back home.
Assault
On April 4, Officer Jeffrey Whited responded to the 500 block of West Avenue for two residents at the facility having an altercation resulting in an injury to one of them.
Traffic Hazard
On April 1, Powe was dispatched to the 14 block of Kessler for lights at US Highway 77 and I-10 not cycling. Tx-DOT was notified.
