Schulenburg Police Report
Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of March 16-22 .
Agency Assist
On March 17, Officer Jeffrey Whited was dispatched to the 300 block of August to meet with a CPS worker.
On March 18, Whited was dispatched to the 700 block of N. US Hwy 77 to assist with EMS.
Accident
On March 18, Officer Reyden Svatek responded to the 700 block of N. Kessler for an accident.
Animal Complaint
On March 18, Svatek responded to the 800 block of Baumgarten in reference to a stray dog. The dog was transported to the kennel.
On March 20, Animal Control Officer Gina Harden was dispatched to Bucek Street for a dog in the parking lot. Officer took the dog, and the owner was located.
On March 20, Harden picked up a puppy in the 1000 block of Upton and owner was later found.
On March 20, Harden took a report regarding loose dogs getting into complainants’ garbage in the 1200 block of South Street.
On March 21, Harden received a call-in regard to a dog at school. The dog was taken to the pound and later reunited with owner.
Civil Matter
On March 21, Svatek spoke with complainant at the police station regarding a child custody issue.
Criminal Mischief
On March 18, Svatek responded to the 200 block of W I-10 Frontage Rd. for a male subject that had broken some items inside the office. A citation was issued, and a criminal trespass warning was issued.
Criminal Trespass
On March 19, Officer Hailee Vincent was dispatched to the 1300 block of Summit in reference to an individual at the residence that the owner did not want to be there.
Found Property
On March 17, Officer MD Krenek took possession of a cell phone an individual had found in the KC Hall. Phone was not locked, and officer Krenek called a contact on the phone. Owner claimed the phone at the police station.
Suspicious Vehicle/Person
On March 18, Whited was dispatched to the 100 block of Black for a suspicious vehicle driving around the neighborhood going slow. Officer made contact. The two were census workers.
On March 20, Vincent responded to the 400 block of S. Main for a person on complainants’ front porch.
On March 22, Svatek saw a suspicious vehicle in the 25 block of N. Kessler and found no one was in it. Vehicle did not comeback stolen.
Traffic Stop
On March 16, Vincent stopped a driver for running a red light In the 100 block of Kessler. A citation was issued.

On March 16, Vincent stopped a driver in the 100 block of Kessler for speeding going 52 in a 35. A citation was issued.
On March 16, Vincent stopped a driver for running a red light in the 100 block of Kessler. A citation was issued for expired registration (1224) and a warning for the light.
On March 17, Svatek stopped a driver for an unclean license plate in the 800 block of Baumgarten a warning was issued.
On March 18, Whited stopped a driver in the 80 block of Kessler for speeding. A warning was issued.
On March 19, Vincent stopped a driver in the 100 block of Kessler for speeding. A citation was issued for going 52 in a 35.
On March 19, Vincent stopped a driver in the 100 block of Kessler for speeding and issued a warning. Officer assisted the driver with putting new registration sticker on.
On March 19, Krenek stopped a driver in the 400 block of N. Kessler for speeding in a school zone. The driver was issued a citation.
On March 20-Krenek stopped a driver for speeding in a school zone in the 500 block of N. Kessler. The driver was issued a citation and released.
On March 21, Whited stopped a driver in the 700 block of N. Kessler for expired registration (8-24) A citation was issued.
On March 21, Svatek issued a citation for expired registration (6-23) in the 400 block of Paulus and a warning for defective head lamp.
On March 21, Svatek stopped a driver in the 100 block of Kessler for an unclean license plate and expired registration (2-25) Welfare Check
On March 16, Vincent was dispatched to the 100 block of N. Upton for a welfare concern.
On March 18, Sgt. Mc-Fadden was dispatched to the 800 block of N. Kessler for a welfare check on a girl walking with a little boy. Mother was notified and released to mother.
