Police Report
Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Dec. 22-28.
Animal Complaint
On Dec. 23, Officer Byron Powe was dispatched to the 200 block of South Street where caller advised there were three dogs in callers backyard attacking his dogs. Officer upon arrival took possession of a white pitbull and owner was located and picked up one of the dogs. Second dog was located by owner and one still at large.
On Dec. 25, Officer Hailee Vincent responded to the 100 block of Meadow Creek for a loose dog.
Fire
On Dec. 26, Svatek responded to the 40 block of N. Kessler for a fire in the back of a truck. Upon arrival the fire was already put out.
On Dec. 28, Powe responded to the 1100 block of FM 1383 for a garage fully engulfed.
Criminal Trespass
On Dec. 26, Vincent responded to the 700 block of N. Kessler for a subject in the bathroom and the manager advised they wanted a criminal trespass issued on the subject.
Civil Matter
On Dec. 22, Officer Reyden Svatek responded to the 600 block of Upton concerning a civil matter in reference to a child custody exchange.
Suspicious Person
On Dec. 23, Powe was dispatched to the 700 block of N. Kessler where caller stated a male was in the outdoor restroom and had been there for a long time. Officer arrived and located the individual in the bathroom charging his phone. Individual was asked to leave and not return unless shopping.
Traffic Stops
On Dec. 23, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of James for expired registration (9-24). Driver received a warning.
On Dec. 28, Powe stopped a driver in the 500 block of Kessler for wrong, altered, or obscured registration sticker with paper plate. Driver issued a warning.
Violation of City Ordinance On Dec. 26, Vincent spoke with a subject in the 1300 block of Russek about not riding his Polaris in town. He advised that at least he had a slow moving vehicle sign on his unlike the city. He was advised to go park it.
