Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of May 26-June 1.

Agency Assist

On May 27, Officer Byron Powe responded to the 500 block of FM 2672 for a disturbance and to assist deputies. One subject was arrested.

On May 28, Officer MD Krenek responded to the 500 block of Holub Road to assist with a call of an elderly male wondering around on Holub Road. After several minutes of searching the son call and advised his father was seen walking on I-10 near the 676 mile marker. Officer located the male subject who was sitting on the grass shoulder under shade. EMS was called to check his welfare and he was released to his son.

Accident

On May 29, Officer Hailee Vincent responded to the 200 block of Kessler for an accident.

On May 31, Powe responded to the 50 block of N. Kessler where a vehicle struck another one in the parking lot and left. Witnesses photographed the suspects vehicle and the vehicle was located and drivers exchanged information.

Animal Complaint

On May 28, Animal Control Officer Gina Harden received a call of a found blue heeler puppy in the 200 block of Matula. As officer arrived at location a small girl came walking up advising it was her puppy that got out.

Criminal Mischief

On May 31, Powe received a call from the 200 block of W. I-10 where female subject advised a female subject had poured something into her gas tank.

Disturbance

On May 27, Sgt. Tobey McFadden was dispatched to the 600 block of FM 2672 for a disturbance, Officer found two individuals that were both intoxicated, and the parties were separated for the night.

On May 27, Powe responded to the 500 block of FM 2672 for a disturbance between two individuals that were separated for the night.

On May 30, Officer Juan Castilleja was dispatched to the 800 block of Simpson in reference to a verbal disturbance regarding birth certificates.

On June 1, Powe was dispatched to the 200 block of W. I-10 frontage road for a husband causing a scene at the hotel. Husband was advised to leave which he did.

Fight in Progress

On May 30, Vincent was dispatched to the 700 block of N. Kessler for a fight in progress.

Reckless Driving

On May 31, Castilleja was dispatched for a reckless driver coming into the city limits and a caller advised it was turning into the Executive Inn. Officer Located the vehicle and talked with the driver.

Suspicious Person/Vehicle On May 27, Officer James Whited was dispatched to the 1700 block of Main for a male subject under the bridge. Officer arrived and found the male subject clearing out brush from under the railroad bridge. The individual was working for a contractor to clear out the brush.

Traffic Stop

On May 28, Powe stopped a driver in the 400 block of Summit for a defective stop lamp. Driver received a warning for a defective stop lamp and expired registration (4-24) and a citation for no insurance.

On May 28, Powe stopped a driver in the 500 block of Kessler for an expired registration (1-24) driver received a warning.

On May 31, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of W. I-10 for a defective headlight. Driver received a warning.
