Schulenburg Man Arrested For Threatening Family With Pipe

Schulenburg Police arrested a local man for threatening family members with a pipe.

According to a report from SPD, officers received a call requesting a welfare check in the 1000 block of Paulus St. on Tuesday, Aug. 20, at approximately 7:33 p.m.

“Officers arrived and observed one subject holding a pipe in his hands which he quickly dropped,” the report said.

Officers spoke with multiple people on scene, the report said, and learned the subject holding the pipe had threatened to assault two different family members with the pipe.

Christian Tovar, 25 of Schulenburg, was arrested for two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center for booking.
