Schulenburg Fire Department Puts Out Vehicle Fire

Sheriff Keith Korenek reports on Thursday July 2, around 11:09 p.m. the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a vehicle fire at the 3000 block of FM 1579 near Schulenburg. The Schulenburg Fire Department was notified and responded to the scene along with Sgt. Duane Meagher. Upon arrival it was reported heavy fire coming from the engine area. Schulenburg Fire Department arrived and the fire was quickly extinguished. There were no reported injuries and the driver stated the origin of the fire was from the engine area.
