Schulenburg to Celebrate Black History Month on Feb. 22-23

A Black History Month Community Celebration takes place in Schulenburg on Saturday, Feb. 22.

The day will start with a parade downtown at 10 a.m. Following the parade, attendees will make their way to the Schulenburg KC Hall, located at 405 South St., where a Black History program will take place. Festivities will continue later in the day at the Wolters Park Pavilion.

On Sunday, Feb. 23, organizers will hold a church service at Pleasant Union Missionary Baptist Church, located at 1206 Wolters Ave. The service begins at 11 a.m. Pastor Jernard Conoway will lead the service.
