The Red & White Gallery will be hosting a talk and book signing by Russell Ybarra on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 16, starting at 3 p.m. The event is free and open to everyone, and 100% of proceeds from the book sales at this special event will go to support Camp Hope and the PTSD Foundation of America.

Russell’s new book, “Enchilada Entrepreneur”, offers an inspiring and first-hand view into the making of one of Texas’s favorite Tex-Mex dining icons and is a practical reference for any entrepreneur trying to build a business. For Russell, making a meaningful impact on the world around you is an essential part of creating a successful business.

According to Amazon, “Russell Ybarra has reached a degree of success in his professional life that allows him the time and space to reflect on his journey and offer its lessons to other entrepreneurs. Having built his company, Gringo’s Mexican Kitchen, from the ashes of what he describes as a history of professional failures, he tells a story that will resonate with new and experienced entrepreneurs in all spheres.” Houston radio personality Michael Berry writes in the book’s foreword, “This book isn’t really a ‘how to’; it’s a ‘why not?’ It doesn’t lecture or brag but, rather, challenges each of us to use our business, our treasure, and our skills to help others, because in doing so, there is a rewarding joy.”

Russell and his family now have a second home in Fayette County near Fayetteville and are becoming a part of this area. His time is still very much in demand as his restaurant group now employs over 2,600 team members serving thousands of meals a week at his Gringo’s Tex-Mex, Jimmy Changas, Burger Libre, and Lunch Box restaurants.

“Russell gets it — from business to people. He lives the American dream of defy-ing the odds, from foreclosure and failed businesses to creating a restaurant chain with annual sales of $150 million and growing. A great read. Pay attention to his proven principles,” offers Tilman Fertitta, Chairman and CEO of Fertitta Entertainment. Red & White Gallery is located at 102 W. Main on Fayetteville’s Historic Square.
