RTC Education Foundation Celebration is Saturday

The Round Top-Carmine Education Foundation will hold its “Small School Big Hearts” Celebration this Saturday night, Feb. 1 at the Round Top Rifle Hall. The Celebration is the annual fundraiser for the Foundation, which funds Enrichment in the Arts, Technology, and Innovative Teacher Grants for the Round Top ISD.

Round Top Schools are subject to a “Robin Hood” recapture of property taxes by the State of Texas, amounting to over $ 2,000,000 this year. The Education Foundation funds programs and materials that the School District would be unable to provide, including Fine Arts classes, Chromebooks for students, Touchscreen Whiteboards, and materials for the Ag/Shop program.

A dinner will be catered by the Round Top Rifle Association members, featuring their famous brisket and sausage with trimmings. Tickets for the dinner are $ 20 per plate, available to-go or eatin at the Hall between 5 and 6 p.m..
