Round Top To Hold Early Childhood Screening
The Round Top Independent School District, in cooperation with the Burton Special Services Cooperative, will screen 3 and 4-year-old children in the school district for speech delays on Thursday, August 7th between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. at the Round Top Elementary School located at 608 N. Washington St.
This screening will help parents as well as teachers determine the child’s communication readiness for school. It is not designed for the student who is meeting normal developmental milestones; nor is it a program for a child whose only need is to learn to speak English.
Our Speech Language Pathologist will screen for vision, hearing, and speech.
All interested parents should bring their children who will be 3 years of age on or before Sept. 1, 2025 or 4 years of age on or before Sept 1, 2025, to Round Top Elementary School, Thursday, August 7th, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.

El Distrito Escolar Independiente de Round Top, en colaboración con la Cooperativa de Servicios Especiales de Burton, evaluará a niños de 3 y 4 años del distrito escolar para detectar retrasos en el habla el jueves 7 de agosto, de 9:00 a. m. a 12:00 p. m., en la Escuela Primaria Round Top, ubicada en 608 N. Washington St.
Esta evaluación ayudará a los padres y maestros a determinar la preparación comunicativa del niño para la escuela. No está diseñado para estudiantes que están alcanzando los hitos normales del desarrollo, ni es un programa para niños cuya única necesidad es aprender a hablar inglés.
Nuestro logopeda evaluará la visión, la audición y el habla. Todos los padres interesados deben traer a sus hijos que cumplirán 3 años el 1 de septiembre de 2025 o 4 años el 1 de septiembre de 2025 o antes, a la Escuela Primaria Round Top, el jueves 7 de agosto, entre las 9:00 a. m. y las 12:00 p. m.
