Out and About
James and I took off on a spontaneous trip to Steamboat Springs, Colorado to visit our friends Alayna and Dave Kidd. It turned out to be a fantastic trip to some scenic countryside. When we arrived, we got to help with all the horse activities and Alayna took advantage of having James and had him do some of Dave’s little jobs, since Dave was laid up after knee surgery. We also went downtown Steamboat for an Art Walk and also got to experience their Farmers’ Market. While going down to the Farmers’ Market I got to see a Black Bear come loping out from some houses and go into a drainage culvert. On the way home we took the scenic way through Breckenridge and enjoyed some great views.
Nancie Blair was out and about. She traveled to her nephew and his wife Jeremy and Crystal Lang’s for her great nephews Bodie (13) and Hunter (11) Lang’s birthday party. There were lots of family from both sides of the family, including Nancie’s brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Karla Lang. The theme for the party was “The Sandlot,” so lots of baseball was played.
Jennifer and Clay Rightmer enjoyed the chance to babysit niece Georgia Howard. Georgia’s dad, Wade Howard, traveled for an afternoon of football at the Texas A&M game.
Kathy and Frank Chlumsky traveled to Austin to celebrate their grandson’s, Marcus Williams, fourth birthday. The weather was perfect for the party that was held in the park with friends and family.
Neighborhood Watch
There have been some strange illegal activities going on in the area. Please be aware of your surrounding and keep an eye out for your neighbors too.
