RNNG Hosts a Day of Education, Empowering Nonprofits
Nonprofit leaders, board members, volunteers, and stakeholders gathered for the 2024 Day of Education on Nov. 12-13, a two-day event that provided vital resources and insights to strengthen rural nonprofits. Hosted by the Fayette Community Foundation (FCF) in partnership with the Rural Nonprofit Networking Group (RNNG), the event featured expert lead sessions, dynamic networking opportunities, and heartfelt inspiration.
Held at the Frisch Auf! Valley Country Club and Round Top Rifle Hall, the event united participants under the shared goal of building a brighter future for rural Texas communities.
Kevin White, RNNG Chair, captured the heart of the event in his opening remarks: “I have yet to meet someone who chose to work in the nonprofit sector for the fame, fortune, or prestige. Instead, we work in nonprofit because we are passionate about serving our communities. We believe in the missions of our organizations, and we dedicate ourselves to those who need what we offer.
The Fayette Community Foundation, through the Rural Nonprofit Networking Group, is committed to offering nonprofit leaders, board members, volunteers, and other stakeholders opportunities to learn from one another and from industry professionals so that we can better serve rural communities.

The event featured sessions on Finance, HR and Legal, Organizational Management, and Strategic Planning, delivered by a stellar lineup of speakers: Brooke Barron, Brooke Garcia, Angela Hebert, Jane Hevezi, Dr. Jerome Socolof, and Adam Weaver. Their expertise provided attendees with actionable tools and strategies to enhance their organizations’ operations and impact.
