Recount in Narrow La Grange City Council Race Coming Up Tuesday

The Fayette County Elections Office will recount the ballots from the May 7 La Grange City Council Ward 4 election. Unofficial vote totals showed Arthur Bosque leading Chris Jernigan by just one vote, 51-50. Elections Administrator Terri Hefner said Jernigan requested a recount since the vote was so close.

The recount will take place Tuesday, May 17, at 5:15 p.m. Look for the results from the recount in Friday’s paper.
