Sensitive Document Shred Event
The City of La Grange, the La Grange Police Department, and Citizens on Patrol invite La Grange Utilities customers to this free Spring Cleaning event on Saturday, April 19. Mobile on-site document shredding ensures discarded personal information is protected from unauthorized use, eliminating the opportunity for fraud and/or identity theft. Bring your sensitive documents related to taxes, payroll, human resources, medical records, legal matters, etc. to the LGPD at 243 S. College St. for destruction between 9 a.m. and noon. Items with staples, paperclips, and binder clips are accepted. Items not accepted are cardboard, floppy and hard disks, CDs, DVDs, and USB drives. Decoration Day
Decoration Day will be observed at the Rutersville Cemetery on Sunday, April 20. No services are planned.
2025 Aggie Muster
The Fayette County A&M Club invites you to join us for Aggie Muster. The event will be held on Monday, April 21 at Ammannsville KJT Hall 7904 Mensik Rd, Ammannsville. A social hour will begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by program and dinner at 6:30 p.m. Muster speaker will be Dennis Mudd ‘85, former 12th man kick-off team member. Other activities will include a silent auction and games of chance. Proceeds go to funding multiple scholarships to Texas A&M University. Please consider sponsorship and/or donating an auction item. Faith Lutheran Church Fundraiser
A chicken fried steak drive-thru dinner fundraiser for Faith Lutheran Church will be held at 615 South Eagle in Weimar on Wednesday, April 23 from 4:30-6 p.m. The meal will incude chicken fried steak, gravy, twice baked potatoes, green beans, broccoli salad, roll, and peach cobbler for $13 per plate. Tickets are available from church members or at the following businesses: Hair Stop, Hill Bank & Trust, Peak Brothers Construction, Tre-House Embroidery, Seybro Door and Weatherstrip, and Fayette Savings Bank.
Spring Shakespeare at Winedale

Muldoon VF Department Fundraiser
The Muldoon Volunteer Fire Department will have its annual fundraiser on Saturday, April 26 at the Muldoon Fire Station located at 333 N. 3rd St. in Muldoon. A meal will be served at 11:30 a.m. with a live auction to follow at 12:30 p.m. Additional events include a visit by Smokey Bear, silent auction, raffle drawing, face painting, popcorn, snow cones, and loads of fun. Fayette County Tire Disposal Day
Fayette County will host a one day only tire disposal day. Drop off locations at: April 29, 7 a.m. - 3 p.m., Fayette County Schulenburg Pct. 4 Yard, 1801 West US Hwy. 90, Schulenburg; April 30, 7 a.m. - 3 p.m., Fayette County Recycling Center, 210 Svoboda Lane, La Grange. Disposal fees: $5 for each car and passenger truck tires; $15 for each truck tire (18 wheeler type); and $30 for each tractor tire, maximum size of 17.5x.25.
