Easter Egg Hunt

The City of La Grange Recreation Department invites all to their annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 5 at White Rock Park located on Mode Lane in La Grange from 3-5 p.m. Photo op with the Easter bunny. Join for fun filled family time.

Movie Night

The Miracle Temple Church located at 1008 E. Fannin St. in La Grange is having movie night Saturday, April 5 at 2 p.m. The movie is The Force and this is a free event. Refreshments will be available for purchase.

Adult Tech Training

Join us for Adult Technology Training at the Fayette Public Library in La Grange on Saturday, April 5, from 10 a.m. - noon. All computer questions are welcome. No one is born knowing this stuff. If your computer is giving you problems, bring it along. Six seats are available. Registration is required. Call (979) 968-3765 to sign up.

Kinder Round Up

Round Top-Carmine ISD will hold a Kindergarten Round Up on Thursday, April 10 from 5-6 p.m. in the Elementary Cafeteria.

There’s more The La Grange Senior Citizen Activity Center, Inc. spring meeting/luncheon will be held at the Randolph Recreation Center, 653 E. Pearl St. in La Grange on Thursday, April 3. Registration will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Cash door prizes will be awarded to ten lucky attendees who have registered by 10:30 a.m. The meeting starts at 10:30 a.m. Guest speaker will be John Bartos, who was recently elected President of the Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center organization. A chicken fried steak with all the trimmings lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. for $5 for members and $10 for non-members. Annual membership fees of $10 for the year will also be collected. Game Days continue on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month.

Lions Sealy Dance Club

The Lions Sealy Dance Club is having a dance on Saturday, April 5 at the Sealy American Legion Hall located at 1630 Meyer St. Sealy. The band, Texas Sound Check, will be providing live music from 7:30-11 p.m. The public is always welcome.

Fayette County Beekeepers Association

The Fayette County Beekeepers Association (FaycoBeeks) will hold its next meeting on Saturday, April 5, at the Fayette County Agriculture Building in La Grange at 255 Svoboda Ln. The evening will begin with a Beekeeping 101 presentation from 4:30-5:30 p.m. perfect for those new to beekeeping. A potluck dinner will follow, so bring your favorite entrée, side, or dessert to share. After dinner, the business meeting will feature guest speaker Steve Butler, who will discuss Honey Bee Swarms—a must-see for beekeepers of all experience levels. This is a great opportunity for beginners to connect with seasoned beekeepers for mentorship and advice. Annual membership is $25 per individual or family, but membership is not required to attend. FaycoBeeks meets on the first Saturday of every month, and more information can be found at faycobeeks.org.

Glass Painting at the Library

Join for Adult Crafternoon at the Fayette Public Library on Thursday, April 10, from 4-6 p.m. Enjoy a relaxing hour painting your own wine glass or glass cup, with take-home instructions on how to cure, bake, and preserve your masterpiece. The library will provide all materials. Space is limited for this event, with only 10 spots available. Call or visit the library to reserve your spot. Round Top DYD Club Meeting

The Round Top DYD (Do Your Duty Club) will have their next monthly meeting on Thursday, April 10, at 6 p.m. and will be held at the Round Top Courthouse. There will be a short business meeting followed by a breakout session with committees. All members are encouraged to attend.
