VFW Post No. 5254, Auxiliary to Meet

On Tuesday, Feb. 18, Fayette Memorial VFW Post No. 5254 and Auxiliary of La Grange will meet in the VFW Post Home at the La Grange Fairgrounds. The Auxiliary meets at 5 p.m.; and at 6 p.m. the Post and Auxiliary will enjoy a meal after which the Post meets. Potential members are invited to attend.

Farm Bureau Meeting

The Swiss Alp-Ammannsville-Dubina Farm Bureau local will hold their next meeting, Tuesday, Feb. 18, at the Swiss Alp-Ammannsville-Dubina Farm Bureau hall. It will start at 6:30 p.m. A potluck meal is being planned, so each family is asked to bring a covered dish and a small dessert. All members are welcome.

Food Drive For Pantries

The Fayette County Texas Exes are having a food drive to support local Food Pantries. Nonperishable food items can be dropped off Feb. 7-22 at: La Grange Vision Center 1630 W. State Hwy. 71 La Grange, Jones Insurance Services, 357 N. Jefferson St., La Grange; Round Top Brewing & Kitchen, 101 W. Austin St., Round Top; Round Top Real Estate, 101 Main St., Round Top; Orsak’s Cafe, 121 W. Fayette St., Fayetteville; Joe’s Place, 120 N. Live Oak St., Fayetteville; Flatonia Baptist Church, 225 E. 6th St., Flatonia; and Schulenburg Family Fitness Center, 145 Regency Ave., Schulenburg.

Natural Medicine: Prevention & Healing Think OrganicAcademy will offer a free class, Natural Medicine: Prevention and Healing, at the Randolph Recreation Center in La Grange, Sunday, Feb. 23, 2-4 p.m. The class is presented by David E. Will, who has taught continuing education classes on Natural Medicine for 35 years. David is not a doctor and has nothing to sell. This class is for educational and informational purposes only.
