American Legion Post, Auxiliary Meeting
TheAmerican Legion Post No. 102 and theAmerican Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 102 will meet for their regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 12, at 6 p.m. at the VFW Home located at Veterans Memorial Drive at the Fairgrounds in La Grange. Members are encouraged to attend. New members for both the Post and the Unit are always welcome to come and find out the various ways we can work together to best assist our Veterans in the area. A light meal will be served, followed by the regular business meeting.
Sages and Saints Pajama Party
The Sages and Saints will have a pajama party Thursday, Feb. 13 at 5:30-7:30 p.m. at New Life Methodist Church fellowship hall located at 1215 N. Von Minden in La Grange. Wear something comfortable, pajamas, sweat suits or robes and slippers. Dinner will be a breakfast with pancakes, waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon. Have breakfast and games to follow.
Library Twilight Watch & Make Party
Join the Fayette Public Library for a Twilight Watch and Make Party on Thursday, Feb. 13, from 4:30-7 p.m. Join to watch the first Twilight movie and make delicious Valentine’s Day chocolates. The library will provide chocolate, decorative boxes, and all other materials. Twilight-themed snacks and drinks will also be provided. Registration is required for this event and is open to ages 13 and up. There are 20 available spots, so reserve yours today. The Twilight movie is rated PG-13. Are you Team Edward or Team Jacob? La Grange Senior Citizen Game Day

CVICA Barbecue & Trade Show
The Colorado Valley Independent Cattlemen’s Association of Texas annual barbecue and trade show fundraiser will be held Saturday, Feb. 15 at 4 p.m. at KC Hall located at 190 S. Brown in La Grange. Pianist Miles Gillette Recital
First Presbyterian Church, located at 205 S. Franklin St. in La Grange, will welcome pianist Miles Gillette on Saturday, Feb. 15 at 4 p.m. Miles, a student at the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University, will be performing his open dress rehearsal as part of the preparation for his upcoming Master’s recital. Works of Ravel, Haydn, and Schumann are planned. Plan to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to hear beautiful classical music. Dust off your boots, grab your cowboy hat and bring your best Texan Spirt to greet the HCSO Jr. Posse’s Pony Express riding into Weimar. Vendors, a petting zoo and more. Saturday, Feb. 15 at 11 a.m. Awards will be given to the most Texan Cowboy and Cowgirl so bring all your western spirit.
Medicaid Information Session Feb. 17
A Medicaid attorney will be coming to speak to the Fayette County community about the Medicaid process and educate them on the ins and outs.
