The La Grange Senior Citizen Activity Center Inc. will host game day on Thursday, July 25 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the City of La Grange Randolph Recreation Center. Game day will be held every second and fourth Thursday of each month. All seniors are welcome. For more information, contact Liz Tannler at (281) 543-1976.
Round Top Hermann Sons Lodge 151 will meet Thursday, July 25 at the Round Top American Legion Hall. Social time begins at 6 p.m. with meeting following at 6:30 p.m. Please bring sandwiches, snacks, desserts, etc. to share.
All Sports Passes
Returning again for 20242025, the La Grange ISD 65 plus all sports senior citizen pass is available starting Aug. 6, at the LGISD Admin. Building, 540 N. Monroe, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Passes are $40 each and varsity football is included. Purchase must be made in person with a Valid ID. General admission seating only. Valid at all LGISD and out-of-town district game facilities. Clear bag policy. Pass is non-transferable. Call (979) 968-7000 with any questions.
There’s more The Fayette County Beekeepers Association (FaycoBeeks) will have their next meeting on Saturday, Aug. 3 at the Fayette County Agriculture Building in La Grange, located at 255 Svoboda Ln. For anyone interested in learning about beekeeping, there will be a Beekeeping 101 presentation, “Honey Bee Pests and Diseases” from 4:30-5:30 p.m. A potluck dinner will follow, please bring your favorite entrée, side or dessert to share. Afterwards, there will be a business meeting, and a presentation by Brandon Karisch, Appraiser, with the Fayette County Appraisal District. This is a great opportunity for new beekeepers to meet with club members that can serve as mentors and advisors. Membership dues for 2024 are $25/year, individual or family. Membership is not required to attend meetings, FaycoBeeks welcomes all attendees and encourages beekeepers and their families to join.
