The American Legion Post No. 102 and the American Legion AuxiliaryUnitNo.102will meet for their regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, June 12 at 6 p.m. at the VFW Home located at Veterans Memorial Drive at the Fair Grounds in La Grange. Members are encouraged to attend to discuss regular business matters. Flag Day and Women in the Military will be recognized by the Post. New potential members are invited to attend. A light meal will be served.
Vacation Bible School at the La Grange Church of Christ continues through Wednesday, June 12. From 6-7:30 p.m. children age 3 through sixth grade will dig into the Sermon on the Mount to learn how to “Level Up” to be more like Jesus. Each evening will include an original drama, a Bible lesson, singing, activities, memory verses and a snack. It will conclude at 7:20 p.m. Wednesday with a brief awards program and an ice-cream social. The church is located at 626 E. Hwy. 71 in La Grange.
Senior Game Day
The La Grange Senior Citizen Activity Center Inc. will host game day on Thursday, June 13 from 9 until 11:30 a.m. at the City of La Grange Randolph Recreation Center, 653 E. Auditions For Summer Productions
Calling all students, K-12, join Fayette County Community Theatre as they travel to Narnia! Auditions for the Summer Student production: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe are Friday, June 14 at 5 p.m., Saturday, June 15 at 1 p.m., and Monday, June 17 at 5 p.m. at the La Grange ISD Performing Arts Center. Food Bank Truck
Central Texas Food Bank Truck will be at the Waldeck Lutheran Church located at the Junction of FM-1291 and FM-2145 on Saturday, June 15 from 10-11 a.m. Food distribution will be drive-thru method.Volunteers will distribute and load the preboxed food into each vehicle as the client drives-thru the line. Clients need to clean out the back seats, trunks and truck beds to make room for the boxed food.
Brass Showcase at Festival Hill A Brass Showcase will be held Saturday, June 15 from 1:302:30 p.m. in the Festival Concert Hall, 248 Jaster Rd., Round Top. Tickets are $30 for adults and $1 for students. The program to be announced.
Hermann Sons Life Rutersville
Hermann Sons Life Rutersville Lodge will have their member appreciation’s day on June 15. Social starts at 5 p.m. and a fried fish meal with sides will be served at 6:30 p.m. Members are asked to bring appetizers or desserts. They may also bring items for the silent action.

Library After-Hours Laser Tag
The Fayette Public Library will host an After-Hours Library Laser Tag on Tuesday, June 18, from 6:30-8 p.m. Teens ages 1218 are invited to the library during closed hours to play team laser tag. The library lights will be dimmed, and teens will be divided into two teams for an hour of fun throughout the library. Light refreshments and popcorn will be served. This is a registered event, and there are only 16 spots available, so reserve yours today. All library programs are free and open to the public. Flatonia-Cistern Farm Bureau Meeting Flatonia-Cistern Farm Bureau dinner and the quarterly meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 18, at the American Legion Hall in Flatonia. Social hour will start at 6 p.m. and Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be Chris Swenning, Flatonia Fire Chief. A business meeting will follow the meal. Hospice Brazos Valley is offering a Caregivers Support group. This is a monthly support group for caregivers of loved ones who have a terminal or chronic diagnosis. Beekeepers Association Meeting
The Fayette County Beekeepers Association (FaycoBeeks) will meet on the first Saturday, of every month, at the Fayette County Agriculture Building in La Grange, located at 255 Svoboda Ln. For anyone interested in learning about beekeeping, there will be a Beekeeping 101 Honey Bee Biology presentation from 4:30-5:30 p.m. A potluck dinner will follow, please bring your favorite entrée, side or dessert to share. Afterwards, there will be a business meeting, an open discussion on bee-things, and a guest presentation it is also a great opportunity to meet up with experienced beekeepers who can serve as mentors and advisors. Membership dues for 2024 are $25/year, individual or family. Membership is not required to attend meetings, FaycoBeeks welcomes all attendees and encourages beekeepers and their families to join. Feed the Need, a non-profit organization whose mission is to feed people physically and spiritually, will provide free burgers every Monday at 6:30 p.m. in La Grange at the south east corner of the courthouse square. Everyone is welcome.
