Tumbling &
Gymnastics
Sign ups for Tumbling and Gymnastics classes will be held Thursday, Aug. 21 from 4-6 p.m. at the Randolph Recreation Center, 653 E. Pearl St. in La Grange. Registration will be held in the East gymnastics gymnasium (Building E). Enter through the rear north backside door. Classes start Sept. 8. All classes are limited in size. Fees: $100 a month, participate one time per week per child; $150 a month, participate two times per week (if siblings, $140 a month).
There’s more Neighbors, let’s get together for a summer social. On Thursday, Aug. 21, meet at Mac’s Daqs located at 108 W. Colorado, La Grange, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. for drinks, snacks and fun. This gathering will be in lieu of the regular monthly luncheon and will be light on business with an emphasis on relaxation and good conversation. Hope to see you all there.
Kid’s Health and Nutrition
Think Organic Academy will offer a free class, Kid’s Health and Nutrition at the Randolph Recreation Center in La Grange, Sunday, Aug. 24, 2-4 p.m. The class will cover children’s health from conception to teen years. The Presenter is David E. Will, who has taught continuing education classes on Natural Medicine for 35 years. David is not a doctor and has nothing to sell. Learn how many parents stop ear infections, reverse asthma, prevent diabetes, chronic infections and more. Today 54% of children in the U.S. lives with at least one chronic disease condition that will follow them into adulthood. This class is for educational and informational purposes only. CDA Court Annunciation No.1962
CDA Court Annunciation No. 1962 of La Grange and Plum will hold their first meeting of the 2025-2026 year on Monday, Aug. 25 in the Msgr. Harry Mazurkiewicz Center in La Grange. A social provided by the Court Officers for all members to enjoy will begin at 6 p.m. The meeting will follow at 6:30 p.m. Members are invited to attend. New members are always welcome. Notice to Court Annunciation No. 1962 Members, we will begin dispensing reading of the Minutes during the meetings. You will receive the Minutes by email prior to monthly meetings to review and report corrections. Minutes will also be available at the meeting and Church Office. This can shorten our meeting time to allow for fellowship or programs.
Fair Plant Exhibit Deadline
Plant exhibit entries for the 2025 Fayette County Fair deadline is quickly approaching on Aug. 25. Check the Fayette County Fair Catalog on line for entry guidelines and entry form. Deadline to enter is Aug. 25.
Seniors to see Fiddler on The Roof The La Grange Senior Citizens Activity Center Board of Directors have a day trip planned for Sunday, Sept. 21 to see “Fiddler on the Roof” at the Bastrop Opera House. All seniors are invited to attend. The group will be leaving from the Randolph Recreation Center parking lot at 1:30 p.m. The show begins at 2:30 p.m. If you are interested in attending, contact Marilyn Strmiska at (979) 247-4090 by Monday, Aug. 25. There are a limited number of seats available. Tickets are $30 per person and payment is required by the Monday, Aug. 25 deadline.
