Juneteenth

The Juneteenth Committee of Fayette County invites you to a weekend of celebration at the Randolph Recreation Center in La Grange June 17-19. The party kicks off with Gospel music on Friday at 6 p.m. The parade starts at 10:30 a.m. Saturday followed by a freedom luncheon at noon. The Historical showcase starts at 3 p.m. and the Kings and Queens Pageant at 5 p.m. The joy concludes with Worship service at 10 a.m. Sunday. Visit www.juneteenthtexas.org for details.

Food Bank Truck

The Central Texas Food Bank truck will be at the Waldeck Lutheran Church located at the junction of FM-1291 and FM-2145 on Saturday, June 18 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. It will be drive-thru only and all clients are to remain in their vehicles. Someone will be there to direct traffic. Clients are advised to make room inside their car trunks and truck beds. Food boxes will be pre-packaged and placed into each vehicle by volunteers. Facemasks are no longer required.
