Republican Women

The Fayette County Republican Women will hold their monthly meeting on Thursday, June 16 at La Grange City Hall, 155 E. Colorado, in La Grange. The speaker will be Faith Elwonger, representing Students For Life. This organization goes into high schools and colleges to calmly and factually support, discuss, and debate pro-life positions. Support Group

The Parkinson’s Support Group will meet June 16 at 10 a.m. at the Randolph Recreation Center. This month’s featured speaker will be Nancy Addison, Certified Nutritionist. She will discuss getting healthy with food as it relates to Parkinson’s Disease. Please join to learn more.

Juneteenth

The Juneteenth Committee of Fayette County invites you to a weekend of celebration at the Randolph Recreation Center in La Grange June 17-19. The party kicks off with Gospel music on Friday at 6 p.m. The parade starts at 10:30 a.m. Saturday followed by a freedom luncheon at noon. The Historical showcase starts at 3 p.m. and the Kings and Queens Pageant at 5 p.m. The joy concludes with Worship service at 10 a.m. Sunday. Visit www.juneteenthtexas.org for details.

VFW, Auxiliary

Fayette Memorial VFW Post No. 5254 and Auxiliary will meet for their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, June 21, at the VFW Home in La Grange. The Auxiliary will meet at 5 p.m.; and the VFW Post will meet at 6 p.m. No social to be held.

LGHS Class of 1957 Reunion

The La Grange High School Class of 1957 will meet at Sealand Restaurant in La Grange for their 65th year class reunion on Saturday, June 18 from 2 to 5 p.m. For more information, call Marianne Williams at (979) 247-4405. If there is no answer, leave a message.

Food Bank Truck

The Central Texas Food Bank truck will be at the Waldeck Lutheran Church located at the junction of FM-1291 and FM-2145 on Saturday, June 18 from 10 until 11 a.m. It will be drive-thru only and all clients are to remain in their vehicles. Someone will be there to direct traffic. Clients are advised to make room inside their car trunks and truck beds. Food boxes will be pre-packaged and placed into each vehicle by volunteers. Facemasks are no longer required.

FCCT Auditions Peter Pan and Wendy

The Fayette County Community Theatre is calling all students to audition for the FCCT 2022 Student Production. Auditions for the play, Peter Pan and Wendy will be at the La Grange Performing Arts Center June 20 and 21 at 5:30 p.m. There is no need to prepare any material, just show up. Vacation Bible School

St. Paul Lutheran Church of La Grange invites children of the community who have completed kindergarten through fifth grades to Vacation Bible School, June 27 through July 1 from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. The day camp will be led by a very energetic Lutherhill staff. Lessons, games, arts and crafts, music and snacks will fill the day. Stop by the church office at 427 S. Washington to pick up a registration form.

Swiss Alp/Ammannsville/Dubina FB
