Basketball Camp
The La Grange Leopard boys Summer Basketball Camp will be held June 20-22 at the High School gym. Registration is May 6-10 to ensure a t-shirt printing before camp. Cost is $45. Equipment needed is appropriate athleic wear, tennis shoes and a water bottle. Make checks payable to LGISD.. Registration deadline is June 10.
Hermann Sons
Hermann Sons Life Rutersville will meet Wednesday, June 1 at 7 p.m. at the lodge hall. Members are asked to bring a main dish and a side or dessert for our potluck meal.
Food Truck
The Central Texas Food Bank truck will be at St. John’s Hall parking lot in Fayetteville on Thursday, June 2 from 10 to 11 a.m. It is a drive-thru distribution with clients staying in their vehicle.
LGISD Registration
Online registration for the 2022-2023 school year is now open. To register/enroll your student, go to www.lgisd.net. Under the “Parents” tab on the top menu, click “Parent Portal and Online Registration.” Follow the steps to register/enroll.
FaycoBeeks Meeting
The Fayette County Beekeepers Association (FaycoBeeks) will have their next meeting on Saturday, June 4 at the Fayette County Agriculture Building in La Grange, located at 255 Svoboda Lane. For new beekeepers, there will be a Beekeeping 101 presentation starting at 4:30 p.m. and it will be a great opportunity to meet up with experienced beekeepers who can serve as mentors or advisors. A potluck dinner will follow and guests are welcome to bring their favorite sides/desserts. Afterward, there will be a business meeting, an open discussion on bee-things, and possible guest presentation. Membership dues for 2022 will be collected ($25/year, individual or family). Although membership is not required to attend the meeting, FaycoBeeks welcomes all new members and especially encourages young beekeepers and their families to join. Regular meetings are the first Saturday of even-numbered months (June, August etc). More information on FaycoBeeks can be found at faycobeeks.org.
Freudenberg-Kirchhofer Family Reunion
The Freudenberg-Kirchhofer 69th annual family reunion is Sunday, June 5 at the SPJST Fayetteville Lodge located at 507 E. Main in Fayetteville. A noon meal consisting of barbecue chicken, pork butt, sausage, brisket will be provided for a nominal charge. Each family is requested to bring a side dish and/or dessert, along with your favorite beverage. Tea and water will be provided. Items for silent auction are welcome.
