Rosary Crusade

St. Anne Society No. 10 KJZT of Fayetteville is sponsoring the 2022 Public Square Rosary Crusade in the support of traditional marriage. Everyone is invited to join in prayer for our nation at noon on Saturday, March 19 at the gazebo on the Fayetteville square. You are welcome to bring lawn chairs. FWS Board Meeting

Fayette Water Supply Corporation will be conducting a meeting of the Board of Directors on Monday, March 21 at 5:15 p.m. at the FWSC office located at 200 Bordovsky Rd. in La Grange. All members are encouraged to attend.

Farm Bureau Meet

The Flatonia-Cistern Farm Bureau 2022 quarterly meeting will be held on March 22, at Robert’s Steakhouse in Flatonia. Meals will no longer be provided but can be purchased at the restaurant at 6 p.m. The guest speaker will be Jeremy Finch, DVM from Fayette County Vet Clinic. Meetings will begin at 7 p.m. All Farm Bureau members are invited to attend.

Ledbetter Community Game Day

The Ledbetter Community Game Day will be held Tuesday, March 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Adults of all ages are invited for a time of games, visiting with neighbors, and a delicious lunch. Game Day will consist of board games, table games, card games, and domino games. Everyone is invited to the Ledbetter Community Center at 301 W. Labadie St. (the Ledbetter Fire Dept.) in Ledbetter. The event is sponsored by the Ledbetter Volunteer Fire Department and Soul Café. Lunch is $5 per person. Bring your favorite table games or just come and visit your neighbors for Game Day the fourth Tuesday of each month. For additional information, call (979) 249-2175.

La Grange Chamber Bingo

The La Grange Area Chamber of Commerce will host networking bingo at Frisch Auf! Valley Country Club located at 575 Country Club Dr. on Wednesday, March 23 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

United Evangelical Lutheran, Swiss Alp

A special Lenten rotation of different area Lutheran pastors will bring Lenten Themes to United Evangelical Lutheran Church in Swiss Alp on Wednesdays during Lent. Join and dine at 6 p.m. and Worship at 7 p.m. each Wednesday beginning March 23 with guest preacher Pastor David Tinker presenting the topic: Fasting Scripture: Matthew 6:1-6, 16-21; March 30 with guest preacher Pastor Candy O’Meara presenting the topic: Works of Love Scripture: Matthew 25:31-46; April 6 with guest preacher John David Nedbalek presenting the topic: Prayer Scripture: Matthew 6:1-6, 16-21.

Chamber BBQ Chicken Drive Thru

The La Grange Area Chamber of Commerce will have a drivethru barbecue chicken dinner on Thursday, March 24. The meal will include chicken, pinto beans, coleslaw, and noodles for $12 a plate. The drive-thru begins at 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at the La Grange K.C. Hall located at 190 S. Brown St. in La Grange.

Flatonia Spring Market Day

The Flatonia Market Day will be held on Saturday, March 26 on S. Main beginning at 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Home decor, unique gifts, jewelry and toys plus clothing. Enjoy food, drinks, and music.

LG Bluebonnet Lions Club Scholarships

The La Grange Bluebonnet Lions Club is now taking applications for 2022 Scholarships. Students eligible are: 2022 La Grange High School graduating seniors that will be attending a college or trade school, and former LGISD graduates currently enrolled in a college or trade school. Applications for graduating seniors are available online at www.lgisd.net. Current college/trade school students can find the application at La Grange Bluebonnet Lions Club e-clubhouse. See the application in the calendar for March and open the flyer. Email the completed application to rbkatr@hotmail.com. The deadline for applications is March 31.

Candidate Forum in April

The La Grange Citizens’ Alliance will host a forum on Tuesday, April 5, for candidates running in the City of La Grange election. The forum will take place at The Fayette County Ag Building on Svoboda Ln. in La Grange. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the forum will begin at 6:30 p.m. Candidates will be given the opportunity to introduce themselves and respond to questions from the Alliance and audience members. Caladium Bulb Sale

The La Grange Garden Club is taking preorders for its annual caladium bulb sale. Delivery will be available during the first full week in April at the club’s annual plant and bulb sale on Thursday and Friday, April 7 and 8 in the backyard of the Faison House at the corner of S. Barbecue Pork Fundraiser

The Warda Bunch Show Fund will have a BBQ Pork Fundraiser on Saturday, April 9. Barbecue pork butts will be available in 2.5-3.5 lb. pieces for $10/lb. Orders will be taken for the number of pieces you would like (not by the pound). Pick up at the Holy Cross picnic grounds in Warda from 4 to 6 p.m. Pre Orders only by calling the Holy Cross Church office at (979) 242-3333 by Thursday, March 31.

Easter Egg Hunt

Easter this year is April 17 and Camp Lost Pines is hoping to have an area wide easter egg hunt. The camp grounds would be a great place. The camp is looking for volunteers. Those interested can call Elizabeth at (979) 533-0216 or email praise77488@sbcglobal.net.
