Shakespeare

“The Comedy of Errors” Presented by Camp Shakespeare at Winedale kids will be performed:

• Fri. June 20, 3 p.m. at The Crystal Theatre in Gonzales

• Sat. June 21, 3 p.m. at La Grange ISD Performing Arts Center in La Grange

• Sunday, June 22, 2 p.m. at the Winedale Theatre Barn in Winedale.

Tickets are $10. Children 12 and under are free. Tickets can be paid for at the door using cash, check, or card.

Movie Night

Join the Fayette Public Library for a fun-filled evening on Thursday, June 26 for a screening of the exciting film “Sonic the Hedgehog 3” (Rated PG) starting at 4:30 p.m. Bring your family and friends for a great time and enjoy the adventures of your favorite blue hedgehog. Game Day

The La Grange Senior Citizen Activity Center Inc. will host game day on Thursday, June 26 from 9-11:30 a.m. at the City of La Grange Randolph Recreation Center. Game Day will be held every second and fourth Thursday of each month. For more information, contact Liz Tannler at (281) 543-1976.

Hermann Sons Life

Hermann Sons Life, Round Top and Shelby Lodges, will meet on Thursday, June 26, at the Round Top American Legion Hall. Social time at 6 p.m. and meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. Meal after the meeting. Cotton Gin Presentation at Library

Steph Jarvis and Ronnie Stanley, director and volunteer at the Texas Cotton Gin Museum at Burton, will present a program on powering early cotton gins on Thursday, June 26 at 7 p.m. in the meeting room of the Fayette Public Library, 855 S. Jefferson in La Grange. Additionally, we are hoping local citizens with knowledge of the gins that once dotted Fayette County can help map their locations and identify some of the photographs of gins in the Fayette Heritage Museum and Archives.

First Aid & CPR Training Being Offered

Fayette County Texas AgriLife Extension Office is hosting a First Aid and CPR training on Saturday, June 28 at the Fayette County Agricultural Building, 255 Svoboda Lane, Room 104, La Grange. Kim Sodek, BSN, RN, CPST, TDSHS Nurse Consultant will be conducting the workshop and First Aid and CPR certification cards will be provided to participants. The cost of the class is $40 and will be limited to the first 25 paid registrants. The registration deadline is June 23. FCCT Upcoming Performance

Fayette County Community Theatre invites you to their upcoming performance of “Agnes of God” by John Pielmeier. This intense drama is intended for adult audiences, as its content may be unsuitable for younger viewers. Veteran performers Ellen Hardin, Emily Hudson and Heather Barthelme shine in this powerful theatrical piece directed by Julie Couch. Performances will be held Friday, June 27 and Saturday, June 28 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, June 29 at 3 p.m. at the Historic Casino Hall at 254 N. Jefferson St. in La Grange. Anderson Memorial Fundraiser

As a result of Sgt. Travis Anderson with the La Grange Police Department passing away a memorial fundraiser in his memory has been started. The date for the fundraiser will be Saturday, Aug. 16 and it will be held at the La Grange KC Hall. Start that day with a special Celebration of Life for Sgt. Anderson at 3 p.m. After the Celebration of Life service at 5 p.m. the fund raiser that will open the start of a silent auction. At 6 p.m. a catered meal of grilled pork steak, buttered taters, and green beans will be served by the KC Hall. At 7 p.m. a live auction will begin with Lee Fritsch serving as the auctioneer.
