Hermann Sons Life
The Round Top-Shelby Hermann Sons Life Lodge will meet on Tuesday, June 23 at the Round Top Rifle Association Hall at 710 FM 1457 Round Top. A social time will begin at 6 p.m. a meeting at 6:30 with a meal following. The Members are invited to bring sandwiches, sides or desserts to share. Please note the new meeting date going forward is the fourth Tuesday of the month with the exception of the month of December, when we will continue to meet on the second Sunday of December for our annual Christmas party. The Fayette Public Library will have a Blacklight Slimemaking event on Wednesday, June 24, from 2-4 p.m. and craft your own glowing slime masterpiece. Senior Game Day

There’s more Join area students as they present Abandoned Way Out West by Diana Burban June 26, 27 and 28 at the LGISD Performing Art Center, 656 East Travis Street, La Grange. This laugh out loud western comedy features Aquilina and a group of orphans in a recently abandoned wild west town. Three mysterious strangers appear to rescue the orphans and start a pie making business. However, Aquilina remains unconvinced this is for the best. The play is presented completely by area students, tickets are available at www.faycotheatre.com.
250th Celebration At St. James Church
Come kickoff the 250th year of America with St. James Church in La Grange with the Voice of Freedom, a one-hour play with music and dialogue from our revolutionary days featuring an instrumental ensemble with violins, trumpet, cello, flute, piano; and a community choir and readers of the words of our forefathers on Friday, June 26, 7 p.m. and Saturday, June 27, 3 p.m. Admission is free (donations appreciated). Free Financial Wellness Sessions
New Life Methodist Church located at 1215 N. Von Minden in La Grange is excited to offer free financial wellness sessions Monday, June 29 through Thursday, July 2 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. for parents during Vacation Bible School through the New Life Financial Wellness program. You will meet with a certified financial planner and build toward a personalized financial plan you take home at the end of the week during each session. The program is open to the entire community. VBS, Archery and Financial Planning New Life Methodist Church, located at 1215 N. Von Minden, LG, will host Vacation Bible School from Monday, June 29 through Thursday, July 2 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. VBS is open to children aged 4 years through completed 5th grade. Participants will dive into an undersea adventure to experience God’s ever-flowing love and discover the meaning of “living water.” Each day begins with a light dinner. VBS also includes opportunities to experience archery (for adults too), imagination stations, crafts, science experiments, skits, and games. A certified financial planner will also offer budgeting classes for interested individuals during these hours. Grief Group Being Offered
Hospice Brazos Valley is offering a new grief group for anyone who is grieving. This can be for any human grief, i.e. parent, grandparent, sibling, best friend, and the ones that HBV already offers, spouse, child. This support group will meet on the third Wednesday of each month at 10:30-12:00 noon at the Hospice Brazos Valley office, 1048 N Jefferson, La Grange.
