Fried Pork Meal
The La Grange Knights of Columbus will hold it’s 13th annual Msgr. Harry/KC Memorial Scholarship Fundraiser of a fried pork chop meal including black-eyed peas, buttered potatoes and cabbage for $15 per plate on Thursday, June 4 from 4-6 p.m. at the KC Community Center located at 190 S. Brown St. in La Grange. No tickets or call-ins; first come, first served.
Sealy Dance
The Sealy Dance will be held on Saturday, June 6 at the Sealy American Legion Hall located at 1630 Meyer St., Sealy. The band, Al Sulak and the Country Sounds, will be providing live music from 7:30-10:30 p.m. The public is always welcome.
Adult Tech Training
Join for Adult Technology Training at the Fayette Public Library in La Grange on Saturday, June 6 from 10 a.m. noon. All computer questions are welcome. No one is born knowing this stuff. Freudenberg-Kirchhofer Reunion
The Freudenberg-Kirchhofer 73’ Annual Family Reunion will be held Sunday, June 7 at Plum Hall at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 126 Plum Church Road, Plum. A noon meal consisting of barbecue chicken, sausage, brisket, and pork butt will be provided for a nominal charge. Each family is requested to bring a side dish and/or dessert, along with your favorite beverage. Tea and water will be provided. Don’t forget your silent auction items. Faison Summer Classical Piano Concert
The Faison Preservation Society invites your to join them for their annual Summer Concert 2026 on June 7 beginning at 2 p.m. Enjoy a Sunday afternoon of beautiful classical piano music performed by two students attending the Round Top Festival Hill Institute and special guest violinist Christiano Rodrigues. They will be playing the Faison family Knabe Square Grand Piano at Historic N. W. Faison House, 822 S. Jefferson St., La Grange. Tickets can be purchased online at www.faisonhouse.org/concert.
Cost $30 per person, benefitting musical appreciation and historic preservation.
Eichler and Kieke Family Reunion
Extended family and friends are all invited to the Eichler and Kieke family reunion on Sunday, June 7 at the La Bahia Hall beginning at 11 a.m. with a noon chicken fried steak meal, and silent auction. A new treasurer will be elected, and a special “thank you” goes to the Beetner’s for their duties of treasurer for so many years.
Country Music Night in Giddings
Country Music Night will be held Monday, June 8 at the Lee County Senior Center, 161 West Austin in Giddings. Music starts at 6 p.m. Doors open at 5 p.m. There is plenty of parking in the back. Light refreshments will be served. Music by John and Seth Kalbas with Paul Tucker on drums. All proceeds collected will be given to the music talent.
Hermann Sons Life
Hermann Sons Life Plum will meet Tuesday, June 9 at 1 p.m. at Murphy’s Steakhouse in Winchester. Please note the one time change of the day, date and place for the month of June. Members are encouraged to join.
Czech Heritage Society Piknik
The Fayette County Czech Heritage Society will host its annual Piknik, with a meeting to follow, on Tuesday, June 9 at 6 p.m. at TCHCC in La Grange. The CHS High School scholarship will be presented and there will be accordion music, Czech-English bingo, a sausage wrap picnic dinner, and a silent auction. Members, please bring a side dish and an auction item. Guests and potential new members are welcome. Vítáme Vás!
Ledbetter Homecoming
The annual Ledbetter Homecoming will be held Sunday, June 14 at Ledbetter Fireman’s Park. Decoration of the graves at Ledbetter Cemetery with meeting and memorial service will begin at 9:30 a.m. Bing will follow from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. A pork steak meal with all the trimmings will be served from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. for $15 per plate. Silent auction winners will be announced at 1 p.m. Desserts will be sold by the Ledbetter Homemaker’s Club as well as a country store. This event is sponsored by the Ledbetter Volunteer Fire Department, Ledbetter Homemaker’s Club and the Ledbetter Cemetery Association.
Hostyn KJT BBQ Pork Steak Dinner The Hostyn KJT Society No. 3 will hold their annual drivethru fundraiser on Wednesday, June 17 from 4-6 p.m. at the La Grange KC Community Center. The barbecue pork steak dinner will include buttered noodles, vegetable blend, and a peach half for $15 a plate. A bake sale will also be held in conjunction to benefit CREW, the Youth of the Hostyn and Plum parishes, with matching funds provided by the KJT Home Office. Unity in the Community
A Juneteenth gospel concert featuring Debra Steward will be at the Randolph Recreation Center, 653 E. Pearl in La Grange, on June 19 at 6 p.m. Talent includes Mr. Leo Vaughan, New Soul Invaders, and Soul Invaders and special friends. A free-will donation is appreciated. This concert is sponsored by H-E-B and Second Chance Emporium.
La Grange Chess Club
The La Grange Chess Club meets every Monday at 5:15-6:15 p.m. at the Randolph Recreation Center located on 653 E. Pearl St. Free membership is open to ages 5 to adult. Come enjoy casual play following International Chess Federation rules. Free lessons are also provided by a retired scholastic chess coach and UIL chess puzzle coach.
