Radio Play of ‘A Christmas Carol’ Has Local Talent On Display
This year for Christmas, Fayette County Community Theatre (FCCT) is gifting KTIM 89.1 FM listeners and members of the community its first ever radio show. It is Charles Dickens’A Christmas Carol adapted by Anthony E. Palermo, and broadcasts of the recorded production will air Saturday, December 21 and Tuesday, December 24 at 7 p.m.
The play is directed by Kenny Couch, assisted by Operations Manager Melanie Lira, and edited by KTIM Director of Operations Caleb Chowdory. Community actors and radio personalities volunteered to voice the play. The cast members and characters are as followed;

“We are so excited to bring this production to the community,” said Lira. “We are even offering a tune in and win tickets contest.” Listeners can post a picture of themselves listening to the broadcast on their social media platform of choice and tag FCCT. The theatre will draw one name from all the posts and the winner receives two tickets to the spring production. Winners will be announced at the beginning of the new year.
The production costs were underwritten by an anonymous donor in support of Catholic education, specifically St. Rose of Lima Catholic School in Schulenburg and Sacred Heart Catholic School in La Grange.
“We are so thankful for all the support we’ve received this year, and every year since we began in 2017,” said Executive Director Heather Barthelme. “This is our gift to our community this holiday season.”
