Radar Data Shows When Fayetteville Drivers are Speeding Most Often

Radar Data Shows Speeding Data generated from the portable speed detection radar that rotates throughout the city records pertinent data into a report that is downloaded and submitted to the Sheriff’s department. The data helps to identify when most officers are needed in the area to monitor speeders.

“Officers are in Fayetteville at various times, beyond their regular hours,” stated Mayor Stroup. “The radar has been installed off Hwy 1291 for the past two months. Recent data shows the majority of speeding occurs from 7-8 a.m., and 4-6 p.m. The radar is next scheduled to be placed on Hwy 159 near the school.”
