Public Hearing Set Aug. 28 on Proposed 2026 Fayette Co. Budget

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED 2026 BUDGET

Notice is hereby given that the Fayette County Commissioners Court will hold a public hearing on the proposed 2026 Fayette County Budget and at 9:00 a.m., onAugust 28, 2025, in the Commissioner’s Courtroom (3rd Floor) in the Fayette County Courthouse, La Grange, Texas. Citizens attending the hearing are invited to provide written and oral comments and ask questions regarding the budget. “This budget will raise more total property taxes than last year’s budget by $1,411,559 or 6.0797 %, and of that amount $637,929 is tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year.” The proposed 2026 budget is available for public inspection in the County Clerk’s Office, 246 W. Colorado, La Grange, Texas. (83-2c)
