Police Respond to Variety of Calls Aug. 9-16
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Aug. 9-16.
Animal Complaint
On Aug. 12, Officer Brett Meinardus responded to the 200 block of S. Ellinger for suspicious circumstances regarding dogs in an apartment.
On Aug. 15, Officer Adrian Ortiz was dispatched to the 1400 block of St. Hwy. 71 regarding an animal complaint.
On Aug. 15, Officer Steven Haynie responded to the 400 block of E. Travis for an animal complaint.
On Aug. 15, Haynie was dispatched to the 100 block of W. Live Oak regarding an animal complaint.
Accident
On Aug. 11, Haynie was dispatched to the intersection of Country Club Drive and State Hwy 71 Business for an accident.
Burglary of Vehicle
On Aug. 14, Haynie was dispatched to the 1600 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business regarding burglary of a vehicle. Citizen Assist
On Aug. 12, Haynie was dispatched to the 200 block of N. Main regarding a citizen assist.
On Aug. 15, Ortiz was dispatched to the 1500 block of W. Hwy. 71 Business regarding a citizen assist.
Civil Matter
On Aug. 13, Officer John Wostarek was dispatched to the 1900 block of Hwy. 159 for a civil matter.
Disturbance
On Aug. 12, Haynie was dispatched to the 900 block of E. Guadalupe regarding a verbal disturbance.
Juvenile Complaint
On Aug. 11, Sgt. Mitchell Maxwell spoke with a caller regarding a juvenile complaint in the 300 block of E. Pecan.
Loud Music
On Aug. 16, Ortiz responded to the 100 block of S. Brown regarding loud music.
Missing Child
On Aug. 10, Haynie was dispatched to the 700 block of Eckel regarding a missing child.
Suspicious Person/Vehicle On Aug. 10, Maxwell checked on a suspicious person in the 500 block of W. Travis.
On Aug. 12, Meinardus was dispatched to the 2300 block of W. Hwy 71 Business where caller reported a subject yelling at customers in the drive thru.
On Aug. 12, Meinardus responded to the 2200 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business where caller requested subject be removed from the property. Officer instructed subject to leave.
On Aug. 15, Ortiz was dispatched to the 1000 block of Greenspoint regarding a suspicious person.
Terroristic Threat
On Aug. 12, Officer Jeffrey Archerd spoke with a caller regarding a terroristic threat.
Welfare Check
On Aug. 9, Officer Jose Garza responded to the 1000 block of N. Madison for a welfare check.
On Aug. 9, Garza responded to the 1400 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business regarding a welfare check.
On Aug. 11, Haynie was dispatched to the 600 block of N. Madison for a welfare check.
