Police Respond to Incident at City Cemetery
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the incidents his department responded to for the week of July 14-20.
Assault
July 17-Officer Brett Meinardus responded to the 100 block of N. College for a nude subject that had assaulted an individual and was covered in blood and knocked out in the cemetery.
Animal Complaint
July 15-Officer Noah Geer was dispatched to Svoboda Lane regarding animals in the roadway.
July 15-Animal Control Officer Justin Pietsch was dispatched to the 700 block of N. Monroe and told dog owner to keep dog in the yard.
July 16-Officer Curtis Zwahr responded to the 500 block of W. Lowerline for an animal complaint.
July 17-Pietsch set three cat traps in the 500 block of W. Lowerline.
July 18-Officer Steven Haynie was dispatched to the 100 block of E. Travis regarding a dog at large.
Accident
July 14- Officer Jeffrey Archerd was dispatched to the 1700 block of W. Hwy. 71 for an accident.
July 16- Officer Darrell Armstead was dispatched to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business for an auto accident.
July 18-Archerd was dispatched to the 400 block of E. Travis regarding an accident in the parking lot.
Disturbance
July 19- Haynie was dispatched to the 700 block of N. Washington regarding a disturbance. Lost Item July 20-Meinardus took a call where complainant advised she left her wallet in the 2300 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business. Officer viewed the surveillance video but did not see where she left the item or anyone else pick it up.
Missing Child
July 15- Armstead was dispatched to the 200 block of College regarding a missing child.
Suspicious Person/Vehicle July 14- Archerd was dispatched to the 900 block of N. Madison regarding a suspicious vehicle.
July 14-Geer was dispatched to the 700 block of N. Horton regarding noises being heard outside.
July 15-Meinardus responded to the 200 block of Northpointe where caller stated suspicious circumstances regarding individuals in the back of a car. Officer did not locate anyone.
July 17- Meinardus responded to the 400 block of N. Franklin for a suspicious person on the property. Officer was advised that he was not wanted on the property and subject left.
July 18- Haynie was dispatched to the 100 block of S. Jefferson regarding a suspicious person.
Theft
July 15- Armstead was dispatched to the 2200 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business for a theft.
July 17- Zwahr responded to the 800 block of S. Vail for a theft.
July 20- Armstead was dispatched to the 2200 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business for a theft in progress.
