Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of June 30 through July 6.

Agency Assist

On July 2, Officer Reyden Svatek backed up units responding to the 500 block of St. John Road for a disturbance- assault call.

Accident

On July 6, Svatek responded to the 400 block of Kessler for a major accident.

Animal Complaint

On July 5, Svatek was dispatched to the 800 block of Summit, where complainant advised dispatch that she was met by two dogs acting aggressive. Officer located the dog owners in the 600 block of West Avenue.

Credit Debit Card Abuse On July 1, Svatek was dispatched to the 14 block of N. Kessler regarding bank information stolen.

Criminal Trespass

On June 30, Officer MD Krenek was dispatched to the 800 block of Hwy. 77 regarding the tenant not paying and the owners wanting him to leave. Owners were advised an eviction would need to take place since individual had been there for over two months.

Disturbance

On July 4, Krenek was dispatched to the 200 block of St. John Road regarding a disturbance. Reckless Driver

On July 3, Krenek was dispatched to the 100 block of Summit for a gray Lexus driving reckless and had hazard lights on. Officer checked the area but was unable to locate.

Traffic Stop

On June 30, Krenek stopped a driver in the 800 block of S. Kessler for speeding. A warning was issued.

On July 1, Svatek pulled over a vehicle in the 1500 block of Summit for interfering with a funeral possession. A warning was issued.

On July 3, Officer Byron Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of W. I-10 for an expired registration. Driver received a warning.

On July 3, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of E. I-10 for no front plate and failure to signal lane change. Driver received a warning for no front plate and failure to signal lane change and citation for no insurance.

On July 3, Krenek stopped a driver for speeding in the 800 block of S. Kessler. Driver issued a warning.

On July 4, Powe stopped a driver in the 300 block of Kessler for operating an unregistered motor vehicle (3-23) Driver received a warning.

On July 4, Officer Jeffrey Whited stopped a vehicle in the 89 block of Kessler for speeding and issued a warning and a citation for expired driver’s license.

On July 4, Sgt. Tobey Mc-Fadden stopped a driver in the 10 block of Kessler for failure to maintain a single lane. Driver did not have a Texas driver’s license and issued a warning for no driver’s license and failure to maintain a single lane.

On July 4, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of W. I-10 for speeding going 91 in a 75. Driver received a warning.

On July 4, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of W. I-10 for speeding going 87 in a 75. Driver received a warning.

On July 4, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of E. I-10 for expired registration (3-24) Probable cause search conduced and a small amount of marijuana and an open container of alcohol was located. Both were destroyed on scene and driver received citation for expired registration and no insurance.

On July 4, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of W. I-10 for speeding going 96 in a 75. Driver received a citation.

On July 5, Powe stopped a driver on the 600 block of W. I-10 for speeding going 89 in a 75. Driver received a warning.

On July 5, Svatek stopped a driver in the 700 block of Summit for speeding, going 57 in a 40-mph zone and expired registration. Citations given for speeding and expired registration.

On July 5, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of E. I-10 for operating an unregistered motor vehicle (9-21) Driver received a citation.

On July 5, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of E. I-10 for operating a vehicle with no front plate, driver received a warning. On July 5, Powe stopped a driver in the 100 block of W. I-10 for driving the wrong way in a designated lane. Driver received a warning.

On July 5, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of W. I-10 for operating unregistered motor vehicle (6-21) driver received a warning for operating an unregistered motor vehicle. Citation for no insurance.

On July 5, Powe stopped a driver on the 600 block of E. I-10 for operating a vehicle with unapproved sunscreen device. Driver received a warning for the sunscreening and ciations for no driver’s license and no insurance.

On July 5, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of W. I-10 for defective headlight. Driver received a warning for defective headlight and a citation for no driver’s license.

On July 5, Powe stopped a driver in the 500 block of Summit for turning left from wrong lane and driver received a warning.

On July 5, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of Summit for expired registration (3-24) Driver received a warning for expired registration and expired driver’s license.

On July 6, Officer Hailee Vincent was dispatched to the Texan in reference to a reckless driver in a red truck pulling a horse in a trailer. Traffic stop initiated and driver received warning for expired registration (5-24) On July 6, Powe stopped a driver in the 14 block of N. Kessler for failure to signal with turn indictor. Driver received a warning.

Miscellaneous

On June 30, Powe responded to the 400 block of South where subject believed his vehicle was stolen while he was attending a wedding. Later discovered his friend took his keys without his knowledge to stop him from driving home at the end of the night. No offense.

On July 6, Powe responded to the 300 block of College for a subject that violated a protective order by texting a protected person.

On July 6, Svatek took a call from the 600 block of Upton that subject advised of aliens, radio waves and wanted us to know.
