The annual Monument Hill Remembrance was held at Monument Hill State Historic Site on Saturday, Sept. 14. Visitors and descendants, above, participated in a solemn ceremony to commemorate the Dawson and Mier men entombed at the site. Costumed reenactors, (right) placed wreaths at the tomb as part of the ceremony. There were also special presentations at the Faison House Saturday. Photos courtesy of Gavin Miculka
