Pastor Beck to Celebrate 15th Anniversary of Ordination This Sunday

Pastor Beck will celebrate the 15th anniversary of his ordination on June 12. Everyone is invited to join the congregation in helping him and his family celebrate on Sunday, June 14, after the church service in the fellowship hall.

Holy Cross VBS 

Holy Cross in Warda will have Vacation Bible School June 15-17 from 6-8 p.m. The Adventure to Remember theme is “Are We There Yet?” In this VBS, we will remember Moses-from the Nile to the Burning Bush…..from Plagues to Passover….from Red Sea to Wilderness-and through it all, we see God’s love, protection, and salvation. BBQ Pork Steak Dinner St. Paul Lutheran Adult Fellowship in Serbin will have a BBQ Pork Steak Dinner on Sunday, June 21 from 10 a.m.-noon at the Serbin picnic grounds. Advance plate ticket sales only for $15 and all are to-go. Contact the church office for tickets (979) 366-9650. All proceeds will go toward future church/school projects.

Camp Lone Star BBQ 

Camp Lone Star in La-Grange will have their Annual BBQ Auction and Fundraiser on Sunday, July 26. The day will start with special music at 10:30 a.m. followed by an outdoor worship service at 11 a.m., barbecue meal at noon and the benefit auction from 1-3 p.m. The swimming pool will be open from 1-2:30 p.m. Each year, the camp served over 11,000 individuals through retreats, outdoor education and summer camps. They are looking for donations of quality auction items. Summer Camp registration, including their day camp program, for campers age 5-18 is also open. Register at www.camplonestar.org. St. Paul Lutheran School St. Paul Lutheran School in Serbin is accepting applications for all grades for the upcoming school year. The Sewing Circle meets each Thursday from 9 a.m.noon in the old parish hall at Holy Cross in Warda. This is around the back side of the church. No experience is necessary and you do not have to be a church member to join this fun group. Contact the church office at (979) 242-3333 if you have any questions.

Game Day at Holy Cross The next Game Day at Holy Cross in Warda will be held Thursday June 18 from noon-2 p.m. A light lunch is served. There is no cost to attend and everyone is welcome. Games of bingo and dominoes are offered.

Serbin Jackrabbits 

The Serbin Jackrabbits will play Flatonia at Flatonia Sunday, June 14 at 3 p.m. Results of last weeks game: Serbin 16, Weimar 1.
