On Nov. 8, Parents as Teachers (PAT) of Rural South Central Texas celebrated National PAT Day with a vibrant event themed “Dance & Donate through the Decades.” Families, teachers, and students joined in the festivities, embracing a disco ball theme that honored PAT’s lasting impact across generations.

Students were asked to decorate their own disco ball, creating a fun way to raise awareness about PAT’s essential role in the community. Thank you to the local schools for participating.

A proclamation signed by Weimar Mayor Milton Koller & Schulenburg Mayor Connie Koopman further recognized PAT’s contributions to Weimar and Schulenburg.

Since 2002, PAT has supported more than 852 families and 1,303 children, helping families give their children the best possible start and supporting parents in their role as their child’s first and most influential teacher.

Families with children aged five and under interested in joining PAT, or those seeking more information, can contact PAT at (979) 743-6584 or email josue@sw-pat.org or karen@sw-pat.org.
