Packed House for Women Making History Event

A packed house showed up at the Casino Hall in La Grange Sunday afternoon for the Women Making History event sponsored by The League of Women Voters of South Central Texas. Eight women were honored for their contributions to this area. Additionally, three student essay writers were honored for their work about notable Texas women. Above, left, Brenda Linke Fisseler thanks the crowd for her recognition in the area of “Determination.” Above, right, Karey Bresenhan, the founder of the Texas Quilt Museum, thanks the crowd for her award in the area of “Vision.” All of Sunday’s honorees appear on Page B2 today.
