The Fayette County Country Music Club will host their monthly Opry on Monday, Oct. 21 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in La Grange. The show starts at 7 p.m. and the doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Admission is $8.

This month the opry will feature Chris and Pat Janca, Blair Kudelka, and Chris Rybak.

Chris Janca is a native of Fayette County. Chris is the oldest son of Milton Janca and Virginia Baca Janca. Many in this area know that the “Baca’s” have a natural talent and love for music, and Chris is no exception. Chris’ first public debut was performing at a talent show in front of the whole school in 1974. He sang several songs and earned first place! Chris was privileged to join “The Gus Lindemann Orchestra” which spanned over 23 years and made several recordings.

After the Gus Lindemann era Chris got involved with a Christian music group, The Divine Testament from 20122018. Chris was involved in making two recordings. Today Chris’ talent and love for music is no less then when he first began. He still sings in church and for special occasions. He always said, “it runs in my blood”. He often wonders which of his grandchildren has talent and love for music in their blood.

Pat Janca is a Fayette County native originally from Cistern. He has been singing for over 45 years at different events in and around the area. He currently has an insurance agency Mutual of Omaha in La Grange for over 30 years At only 9-years-old, Blair Kudelka is making a name for herself on the Texas Opry Circuit and beyond. She is the current reigning Young Vocalist of the Year for the Josie Music Awards and has been featured on Woodsongs Kids, a nationally televised and world wide broadcasted radio show. This past summer, she played the role of a young Dolly Parton at Dollywood in their show, Tennessee Mountain Home. She is a member of Stagestruck Junior Elite, and performed with them this summer in Branson and Nashville for CMA Fest. Blair is proud to usher country music into the next generation.

Chris Rybak is a famous musician and singer, performing at various festivals, concerts and cultural events throughout Texas, the USA and Europe. Nicknamed the ‘Accordion Cowboy’, he is best known as an accordionist and recording artist with over 10 albums to date.
