One Arrest, One Escapee in Carmine Hwy. 290 Incident

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that a pursuit came into Fayette County Monday on Hwy. 290 from Washington County, on a catalytic converter theft in progress call.

Two subjects bailed out of the suspect vehicle near Hills Rd. west of Carmine. One suspect has been apprehended. The other suspect is still at large in the area. He is described as a black male wearing a blue shirt and black pants. Fayette County Deputies are assisting Washington County at this scene in Fayette County at this time.

Residents around the Hills Rd./Carmine Cemetery Rd./ Round Top Rd. area are asked to secure their residences and vehicles and if they see this person, to call 911.
