New Round Top Postmaster Sworn in Friday
Hannah Hollmann took the oath of office as Round Top Postmaster on Friday, April 24.
Hollmann has been leading the Round Top Post Office since December. She has worked for the United States Postal Service for nine years and previously served in the Columbus Post Office.
James Biskner, USPS manager of post office operations for this region, delivered the oath of office last Friday. During the ceremony, Biskner praised Hollmann’s strong work ethic and her quick rise through the ranks in the postal service.
“It was an easy promotion,” he said.
Biskner also commented on the beauty of the Round Top area.
“It’s definitely a slice of heaven. I’ll have to find some reasons to come and do an audit,” he joked.
Biskner presented Hollmann with a signed order from United States Postmaster General David Steiner appointing her to the office of Postmaster for Round Top.
Many of Hollmann’s family members were in attendance, as were several of her colleagues in the USPS, along with Round Top Town Council members Lou Ann Phillips and Karen Duddlesten. Afterwards, a reception was held inside the post office.
