The Muldoon Museum building will be open Nov. 2 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Let’s join together as a community, “One Nation, Under God”, and pray for our country on Monday. Nov. 4, come and go from 6-8 p.m. at The Remnant Church, located at 2010 Von Minden Rd. Individual, silent prayer for our nation, churches, leadership and unity. No childcare available.
Hay Insurance Meet
The Fayette County Precinct 2 Hay Insurance Organization annual meeting is Nov. 4. Round Top Rifle Association Hall at 6:30 p.m. All members and perspective members are invited. For more information, contact Jeff Gau at (979) 249-7374.
Rutersville Lodge
Rutersville Lodge No. 152 will have their regular meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. The main dish will be provided by the lodge and members are asked to bring a side and dessert.
Planning Meeting
The Muldoon Museum activities for the month of December will be planned at the Wednesday, Nov. 6 meeting at 2 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.
There’s more The Lions Sealy Dance Club is having a dance on Saturday, Nov. 2 at the Sealy American Legion Hall. The band, Scott Wilkinson and Ez Country, will be providing live music from 7:30-11 p.m. The public is always welcome.
American Legion Quade Werchan
The next regular meetings of the American Legion Quade-Werchan Post No. 338 and Ladies Auxiliary are scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 7. The meetings will begin at 6:30 p.m. at their facilities located at 1503 N. State Highway 237 in Round Top. The remaining meetings for 2024 are Dec. 5, holiday celebration and dinner. Reservations for the catered meal are strongly recommended. All post and auxiliary members are requested to attend their respective meetings.
Poppy Distribution For Veterans Day
In remembrance of Veterans Day, American Legion Crepe Poppies will be distributed in the La Grange area on Friday, Nov. 8 by members of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 102. All donations benefit Veterans assistance programs. Wear your poppy with pride and remember the sacrifices service members have made for our freedom.
Turkey/Dressing & Ham Meal
A turkey and dressing/ham meal will be served on Sunday, Nov. 10. Drive-thru only from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at the Mission & Ministry Building at Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Carmine. The meal is catered by Sandtown Catering and sponsored by MLLC WELCA. Advance tickets are $15, available at the church office, or call (979) 278-3388. Bluebonnet Lions Cheese Balls
The La Grange Bluebonnet Lions Club is taking pre-orders for their famous Cheeseballs. The Cheeseballs will again be $12. each and will be made Nov. 16 at the New Life Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 1215 N. Von Minden. Pickup will be ready on Nov. 16 from 10-11:30 a.m. at the fellowship hall. KC BBQ Turkeys
La Grange Knights of Columbus Council No. 2574 will be taking pre-orders for barbecue turkeys for Thanksgiving. The turkeys are 16-18 lbs. and cost $60. If possible, please reserve your order before Nov. 19 by calling (979) 968-5117. Pick up is Wednesday, Nov. 27 between 4 to 6 p.m.
