Moulton Woman Arrested After Vehicle Pursuit

Sheriff Keith Korenek reports on Wednesday afternoon around 1:43 p.m. the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics unit attempted to stop a 2014 black Chevrolet 4 door SUV on US Hwy. 90 for a traffic violation. After failing to stop, a vehicle pursuit entailed on Hwy. 90 eastbound until the vehicle was stopped at Hwy. 90 and Popp Ln. The female driver, identified as 41-year-old Esmeralda Valderas of Moulton, was arrested for Evading Arrest/Detention with a Vehicle and transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center. Assisting with the pursuit was Schulenburg Officers Vincent, Roggenkamp, and Deputy Ulbig, Sgt. Lala, and Lt. David Beyer of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office.
