Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home in La Grange continued their longstanding tradition of hosting a Memorial Day ceremony Monday. Numerous local veterans groups played a role in the ceremony which started inside the funeral home and then proceeded outside. One of the most solemn portions of the event was the reading of a long list of local veterans who had died since last Memorial Day. Joseph Carroll rang a bell after each name was read by Gene Jaster.
After the ceremony a barbecue lunch was served to all in attendance.
