Mayor Picks ‘Pride of LG’ Quilts

Before last week’s Best Little Quilt Show in Texas packed visitors from all over the state into the KC Hall, La Grange mayor Jan Dockery faced the challenge of picking two of the 209 exhibited quilts as her “Pride of La Grange” honorees. The winner of her artisan award went this one (right) called “The Quilt from Hell!” so named because of the difficulty of making it. The Mayor’s Choice Professional Quilt was this one called “Stars of the Southwest” entered and quilted by Patricia Docekal. Above is La Grange mayor Jan Dockery making the plaque presentations.
