Master Gardeners to Host Lunch-N-Learn on Organic Pest Control

The Bluebonnet Master Gardener Lunch-N-Learn educational program is a series of 9 informational meetings designed to provide gardening or general landscaping for homeowners. Fayette County Master Gardeners plan and present a variety of information from experts in the area and across the state. This series is designed with the professional in mind. Bring your lunch and learn about a variety of topics that help you have a more productive garden, prettier flower beds, or how to better understand your landscape ecosystems.

The topic this month, “Organic Pest Control and Integrated Pest Management in Food Crops” is scheduled for Tuesday, May 12, and the guest speaker will be Wizzie Brown, AgriLife Entomologist. No one wants pests damaging their vegetable and fruit crops. Learn the least toxic ways to control those insect pests and the damage they cause.

Registration begins at 11:50 a.m. - 12:05 p.m. and the program lasts till 12:50 p.m.. The Lunch-N-Learn Series are held at the Fayette County Agricultural Building, 255 Svoboda Lane in La Grange. All Master Gardener Lunch-N-Learn programs are free to the public and you are encouraged to bring your own lunch and drink. Light refreshments are available by Master Gardener hospitality hosts.
