Mailboxes Damaged in Muldoon, Fourth of July Celebration Set July 2
There have been several mailboxes in the Muldoon area that have been vandalized. One box was knocked off its stand while the other box was totally knocked out of the ground and was stolen. These are federal offenses and are not just “pranks.” Any information on mailboxes being vandalized should be reported to the sheriff’s office. If you see any strange vehicles around the area please take note of the make, model, color, license plate information and description of occupants. Turn all this information over to the sheriff’s office. We all have to watch out for each other.
Please practice “neighborhood watch” with your neighbors to try and keep it safe out here. If you see something odd, call that neighbor and just check to make sure all is OK. This is the best way to prevent crimes in and around the Muldoon area.

Out and About
Ron and Pam Knotts had a recent doctor visit that called them to hit the road for the big city of Houston. Having lived there for they took advantage of the trip to make a few side trip adventures to revisit some of those old places they had lived in. The old neighborhoods were totally unrecognizable due to all the new development. After the doctor visit they decided on lunch at P.F. Chang near the Galleria. It was a bit of a challenge finding the restaurant due to the new location and limited signage, but found the restaurant stylish when they did find it. Following lunch they traveled to the Bellaire area to visit with Ron’s mom. They were thrilled to find Ron’s sister and her husband already there. This made for an afternoon of funny stories and catching up on family news, which Ron’s mom really enjoyed. On the way home Ron and Pam made a stop at Costco and then Bucee’s for a car wash and a barbecue sandwich to round out the day.
Pam Sheffield has been busy. She invited her two best friends from high school to spend a week with her. Susi Jones from Burleson and Holly Skinner-Klee from Kingwood came in and the trio then traveled to San Antonio for lunch and shopping in the Mexican Market. The next day they spent watching movies and catching up with each and rounded out the day eating out in Flatonia. They went to Bastrop for a movie and shopping at HEB before going back to the house and watching more movies and just enjoying some girl time. Susi and Holly helped Pam do some decorating around her house and well as getting to watch the deer come up to feed. Susi’s husband, Steve came on Saturday to pick Susi and he too helped out Pam by doing some mowing for her. He also got to enjoy playing some dominos with the girls before the party broke up.
Pam Sheffield traveled to Sherman over the Memorial Day weekend for her annual family reunion. Her daughter and son in law, Allison and Dawson, went with her. They got to see family from Fort Worth, New Mexico, and Mississippi. They all had a fun filled weekend at a hotel near the home of Pam’s stepmom, Suzanne Hyatt. Other cousins from Dallas and Sherman also met up with them for a fun time of reminiscing and eating their traditional Mexican dinner at the Jalapeno Tree Restaurant. Lots of fun was had watching the kids swim in the pool while the adults joked and told family stories.
