Lutherhill Ministries Benefit Dance Saturday in Rutersville

Dancing Under the Stars, an event hosted by SLM and St. Paul in La Grange is scheduled for July 26 at the Hermann Sons Life Hall in Rutersville. Dinner of fried chicken, sausage and trimmings will begin at 5 p.m., dine in preferred. The music by The Back Porch Boys will start at 6 p.m. Live and silent auction that evening and bring your own beverage and lawn chair.

Shared Lutheran Ministry 

Blessing of the Backpacks will be at each church on Sunday, Aug. 10. Have your student bring their backpack to church.

Pastor Lawrence Bade will lead church in Ellinger on Sunday, July 27.

Worship services are still offered on Facebook, You Tube and KTIM 89.1 on Sundays at noon. Ellinger has worship every Sunday at 8 a.m. with communion.

St. Mary’s Catholic Church 

St. Mary’s Catholic Church mass is every Saturday at 4 p.m. and Sunday at 8 a.m.

Brethren Church 

Fayetteville Brethren Church has services the second, third, and fourth Saturdays of each month at 10 a.m. Other services are at Industry Brethren on the second, third and fourth Saturdays at 5 p.m., Wesley Brethren on Sundays at 9 a.m. and Nelsonville Brethren on Sundays at 10:15 a.m. Rev. Mike Groseclose leads all the services. The Nelsonville service is live streamed on Nelsonville Brethren’s Facebook page.

LGISD 

Classes will begin on Aug. 6 for students at La Grange ISD.

Thai Express Opens 

Thai Express has opened in Ellinger next to the Shell Station on Highway 71. Check them out for a variety of Thai dishes.
