LPD Weekly Report Includes DWI, Fraud, Theft Complaints
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of May 24-31.
Animal Complaint
On May 25, Officer Brett Meinardus responded to the 100 block of N. Washington for a cat stuck in a recessed window.
Criminal Mischief
On May 25, Meinardus responded to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business for a damaged vehicle in the parking lot.
Chemical Spill
On May 24, Sgt. Mitchell Maxwell was dispatched to the 400 block of E. Camp regarding a fire hydrant that was leaking.
Civil Matter
On May 26, Officer Jose Garza responded to the 300 block of Diers Lane for a civil matter.
On May 30, Garza responded to the 100 block of Steven Court regarding a civil matter.
Criminal Mischief
On May 26, Garza responded to the 300 block of Esperanza in reference to possible criminal mischief.
Disturbance
On May 25, Garza was dispatched to the 200 block of E. Crockett in reference to a verbal disturbance.
On May 26, Garza responded to the 200 block of S. Ellinger of reports of a crowd forming at the location.
On May 31, Meinardus took a report of two subjects grabbing each other in the 400 block of E. Travis.
Driving While Intoxicated
On May 28, Maxwell was dispatched to the 900 block of E. Colorado regarding a vehicle stuck on the railroad tracks.
Found Property
On May 24, Maxwell was dispatched to the 200 block of E. Travis for found property.
Fraud
On May 30, Meinardus was dispatched to the 200 block of Northpointe and took a report of fraudulent activity on subjects’ debit card.
Harassment
On May 31, Meinardus responded to the 100 block of Steven Court for ongoing issues with a subject.
Public Intoxication
On May 24, Maxwell was dispatched to the 100 block of N. Ella regarding an intoxicated subject.
Prostitution
On May 24, Officer Adrian Ortiz was dispatched to the 1600 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business regarding solicitation of prostitution.
Scam
On May 26, Meinardus took a report from a caller reporting that a scam caller contacted him impersonating a deputy.
Theft
On May 27, Maxwell spoke with a subject regarding a hot check that was written to complainant.
On May 31, Garza responded to the 100 block of S.
Lester to a possible theft.
Traffic Stop
On May 24, Ortiz conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of E. Travis and driver was arrested for driving while license invalid with previous conviction and no financial responsibility.
Sexual Assault
On May 29, Garza returned a phone call about information on a sexual assault.
Unauthorized Use of Vehicle On May 31, Meinardus responded to the 500 block of Koenig Lane where a caller reported someone stole his vehicle. Upon arrival, the caller had stated they parked the car in a different location than usual.
